Welcome to the Toy Train Operating Society New Mexico Division website.

Welcome to the Toy Train Operating Society’s New Mexico Division website.

Saturday August 24 at the Best Western Convention Center, Socorro, NM from 9am to 3pm TTOSNMD will be having a toy train swap meet. (see directions page)

Welcome to our website! It contains information about Division events, pictures, links to various train web sites, documents(how to), train videos, applications to the local Division as well as the national organization. If you have a question or concern about this site, please email the webmaster.

We are very diverse group with members from all walks of life and interest as well. Most of our members operate three-rail “O” gauge trains (like LIONEL) or two-rail “S” gauge trains (like American Flyer). These are from all periods – prewar, post war, and modern. We have swap meets where you can buy, sell, or trade train items of almost any type imaginable. At the swap meets, hotels, conventions, and other events you will most certainly have the pleasure to see our “O” gauge operating modular train layout that has won many award recognition’s at various shows. You will also get to meet the members of the Division who are great train enthusiasts.

The Division also does charity work around the state and has done Christmas shows at the Presbyterian Children’s Hospital. We built a train set as part of the Make-a-Wish Foundation here in Albuquerque, NM. The layout, designed to be operated by a differently-abled boy was sponsored, designed, and built by members who volunteered their time, materials, knowledge, trains, engineering, craftsmanship and spirit to make this wish come true. We are always open to new projects of this type.

We also welcome toy train hobbyists to join the TTOS, our local division and to join our activities (see our events page). Please see our documents page for applications to the Toy Train Operating Society and the New Mexico Division.

  1. Help !!!!! I have 7 Lionel post war locomotives and cars—6 in original boxes—and I would like to get them appraised and sell them (or possibly donate a few) to people that would use and appreciate them.) I live in Gallup and can travel to Albuquerque if you can get me in contact with someone that can appraise them for me. My cell # is 505-870-4119. Thank you so much!

P.S. I will be in Albuquerque Tuesday, Nov. 1 and I can bring the train then if there is someone interested in looking at them.

Thought I should let you know that the flyer you mailed for your Oct 2 2021 swap meet did not arrive until the afternoon of the 2nd. Sorry to have missed it, but I’ll put the Dec. 11th date on my calendar.
    Thanks,

  4. Hello, my name is Mark from Las Cruces. I have a nice Marklin TEE train set from my childhood that I would like to find a good home for. Does anyone collect Marklin? I can attend the Socorro event if that would help. Let me know. Mark
